KEYFORT are currently looking for caring, motivated individuals to support a gentleman with muscular dystrophy who requires support 24 hours per day to live a full and independent life.
We are looking for Support Workers who have a caring and person-centred approach and great communication skills. You must also have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, be reliable and honest, with a respect for privacy and confidentiality. In return we will offer you:
£9.00 per hour after training for Day Shift (8am to 8pm)
£9.50 per hour after training for Night Shift. (8pm to 8am)
Full or part time contracts
Double pay for bank holiday working
Paid induction training and DBS check
Full time & Part Time available
Permanent rolling rota, working with the same person each week to week

Our team of Support Workers perform a vital role in ensuring that the people we support are supported safely, in an effective and caring way that is responsive to their own individual needs.
The person you will support has said the following about his support:
“I am Alan and have muscular dystrophy which means I require someone to help me live independently. I need help with just about everything I do like eating, dressing and personal hygiene. I am very patient with people especially during training and can explain what I need if required. I like to play games and like to get out and about whenever I can. Moving & Handling
From your first day you will be paid to go through our thorough induction programme and then will be trained in clinical skills by a registered nurse.
Each of the individuals we work with have their own training programme which they have often helped to design. After you have completed this you will receive on the job training from an experienced support worker until you feel comfortable to go solo. When you are on session you will be supported 24 hours a day by an on-call system managed by experienced members of the office team.
You will be part of a team working 12 hour shifts providing the person you support with continuous 24hr care. We are looking for support workers who can commit to the same sessions on a week by week basis to provide the person you support with consistency.
When you start, we will agree with you a rolling rota of shifts, this will become your work pattern. Some flexibility and reliability is required however, to help your colleagues out in times of sickness or holidays. There will also be opportunities for ADHOC shifts and overtime.
We are looking for people with the right values and so experience is not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
