Name: Freya McCarthy
My role at KEYFORT:
I am the Children’s Specialist Support Coordinator at KEYFORT and I also support with adult brain injury cases. My role involves developing and coordinating person-centred support packages for children with additional needs. I work alongside multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure the highest quality support for these children and their families.
Previous Experience / Background:
I moved to the North East to study psychology back in 2017. I completed my BSc Psychology then my MSc in Clinical Psychology at Newcastle University. During my masters I worked as a support worker at KEYFORT with both children and adult brain injury cases. I loved it so much I decided to stay at KEYFORT as a coordinator! I grew up in Oxford but have lived in Newcastle for the last 5 years now.
One fun fact about me:
I have a miniature Dachshund called Mr Teeny who is the love of my life!
