We are recruiting for two male Out of Hours Support Coordinators to join our passionate and dedicated team.
This new and highly skilled role is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to be able to shape the way this role works. This will include working every other weekend to hold the on call phone to give advice and guidance to Support Workers on session and if needed go out and cover if a Support Worker calls in sick. You will be paid from 5pm on a Friday until 9am on a Monday and will either work on sessions or complete tasks like care plan reviews, staff supervisions or staff training and be on call the rest of the time.
The other element of the role is to become a trainer in Moving and Handling, Medication Administration and First Aid to provide face to face training to Support Workers. This will be in the office one day per week. This will also involve training in the home of the people we support and signing off competence in these areas. The company will be supporting the successful candidates by investing in them becoming trainers in these areas.
You will become an expert in the people we support who have physical and/or psychological needs, for example, neurological conditions, brain injury, spinal injury, learning disabilities, and mental health needs. You will be trained and competent in supporting people with personal care, complex clinical care such as tracheostomy care and ventilator care, behavioural support and management, rehabilitative support, for example support to complete exercise routines, and emotional support.
We are looking for someone who has the right values and is committed to the provision of high-quality, person-centred care as well as someone who can think about things differently, this isn’t a traditional care company. An essential criteria of this role is that you are a driver with access to your vehicle.
In return we will give you a competitive salary of £22k, continuous professional development, a company discount scheme, health cash plan and a pension scheme.
