Female Support Worker – Penrith (CA11), Part Time (24+ hours)

Vacancy Job Title: Female Support Worker

Vacancy Location: Penrith, CA11 7UL

Salary / Rate of Pay: £14 – £15.50

Contract type: 24 hour fixed contract

Shift pattern available:

  • 07:30 – 14:30 – 2:1 Support
  • 14:30 – 21:30 – 2:1 Support
  • 21:30 – 07:30 – 1:1 Waking Night Support

We are proposing the following shift pattern

  • Week 1 – 2 x waking nights and 1 x 7-hour day = 27 hours
  • Week 2 – 1 waking night and 3 x 7-hour days = 31 hours

Essential Criteria:

  • Female applicant (due to genuine occupational requirement)
  • Must be a non-smoker
  • Physically fit for moving and handling tasks
  • You must be able to work the above shift pattern inclusive of waking nights

Role Requirements:

  • Provide full personal and nursing care. We have our own Registered Nurse who will provide full training and you will work on a 2:1 basis until you are confident in providing all care
  • Be patient, understanding, and able to support someone who is unable to communicate verbally
  • Work as part of an established, supportive team
  • If a driver, assist with community outings
  • Help maintain a clean and comfortable home

What the Role Involves:
You will work as part of an established teams supporting a lady who lives in her home. This is a lovely work environment where some staff members have worked on the team for over 15 years. You will work in a person-centred way ensuring that this ladies physical, social and emotional needs are met. This will be in the home but also supporting with activities in the community with a colleague.
