Job Title; Rehabilitation Support Worker

Location and Postcode; Winskill, Penrith, CA10 1PD – due to the remote location of this case, staff would need to drive to travel here.* Please note mileage is not paid from your home to place of work.*

Rate of Pay; £11.75 to £12.00 per hour, shift dependant, sleeping rate payable from
11pm -7am @ £76

Shift Pattern Available; You must be flexible to work across the following shift pattern: –

  • 6 hour day shift – 10am to 4pm – we can be flexible around these times.
  • 12 hr days and 12 hr sleeping night – 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am
  • Working on a Monday to Sunday, fortnightly rota.

Essential Criteria; Driver with access to your own vehicle is essential, due to the location of this case in Winskill, Penrith. – CA10 1PD.

Role Specifics; As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping our client achieve his rehabilitation goals. We are looking to recruit a full team to support a gentleman in his 60’s who sustained a head injury through a road traffic accident. The gentleman has been receiving rehabilitation support in an rehab unit and, has now transitioned into his new home in the Winskill area of Penrith, allowing him to continue with his rehabilitation.

The gentleman is very sociable and needs support with most areas of his life. Daily duties will include with meal prep, medication, physio routines, accessing the community, strengthening his mobility and support in him maintaining his relationship with his family members.

He has difficulty in taking on any new learning but with repetition can learn, so needs friendly and resilient staff with a positive outlook.

Experience is desirable however, you will be given full training supported by care plans from the professionals involved in the case including an Assistant Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist and Occupational therapist.
