E is a dedicated teacher with a visual impairment who faced challenges in managing written materials and identifying students needing support. To ensure he could perform his role effectively, KEYFORT provided a full-time support worker throughout his workday. This support included assisting with note-taking, typing, and identifying students requiring additional help. With this tailored support, E has been able to focus entirely on his students and deliver high-quality lessons with confidence.
P is a PhD student and IT teaching assistant at University, and receives support due to being registered blind. P’s role involves assisting both undergraduate and postgraduate students in large IT labs, which can hold up to 200 people and are filled with wires and sensitive equipment. To safely and effectively perform his duties, P requires a support worker to help him navigate the space, identify students in need of help, and ensure his safety throughout the day. His current support worker, has built a strong working relationship with P, supporting him not just with mobility but also by helping to deliver lectures and manage the lab environment. The support provided has helped in increasing P’s independence and confidence while maintaining a high standard of student support. Feedback from P has been overwhelmingly positive, with his support noted as both effective and empowering.
A is a full-time professional living with cerebral palsy who receives discreet, personalised support from KEYFORT to maintain independence at work. A values low-visibility assistance, preferring her support workers to blend into her work environment, avoiding any unnecessary attention. With mobility challenges such as balance and difficulty with stairs, A benefits from practical support like navigation assistance, transport to external meetings, and administrative help with tasks such as note-taking and email drafting. Her main support worker, has developed a trusted and reliable working relationship with her, ensuring seamless communication and awareness of any changes.
