My role at KEYFORT:
My career with KEYFORT started as an Academic, Community and Employment Case Manager, overseeing a wide range of cases across the North East. My passion has always been working with SEN children and challenging behaviours. To align with this, I am currently working towards my QTS qualification, teaching part-time at our bespoke alternative provision for young people who are unable to attend mainstream school. I am driven by the belief that all children deserve the chance to succeed in an inclusive environment where they can build confidence and reach their full potential and I thoroughly enjoy being part of the process.
Previous experience/background:
I attended Northumbria University where I graduated with a first class degree in Forensic Psychology. Throughout my degree I worked as a carer primarily working with the elderly and volunteered as part of a crisis team which I still do in my spare time. I also worked with SEND children for a year before starting my role at KEYFORT.
Random fact about me:
I competed in highland dancing competitions across the country for ten years while growing up in Scotland.
